Gundogs.be Champions.

Because Belgium has no official appreciation concerning dummy trials, Gundogs.be has brought to life the "Gundogs.be Champions".

How does it work?

To be able to receive the "Gundogs.be Champion"-title, the dog must have participated in at least three working tests listed on Gundogs.be. For each contest we calculate a result. The three best results will be used to calculate the end result for each dog.

Calculation:

From 2018:
I received several inputs concerning the calculation. A new calculation has been setup to meet these remarks. It's a little more complex, but is seems to be fair...

        +For contests where 10 or more competitors are in one class. The first 10 dogs will gain a fixed number of points :
            Place 1 = +20
            Place 2 = +12
            Place 3 = +10
            Place 4 = +7
            Place 5 = +6
            Place 6 = +5
            Place 7 = +4
            Place 8 = +3
            Place 9 = +2
            Place 10 = +1
            * When there are less then 10 dogs, these point can not be gained.

        +Extra points for every dog that has 80/100 or more : for each fivefold on the number of competitors in one class +1 point:
            Number of competitors : 0 - 4 : +0
            Number of competitors: 5 - 9 : +1
            Number of competitors : 10 - 14 : +2
            Number of competitors : 15 - 19 : +3
            Number of competitors : 20 - 24 : +4
            Number of competitors : 25 - 29 : +5
            Number of competitors : 30 - 34 : +6

            An example :

            For contest X there are 34 dogs in the beginners class.
                    1. Dog1 has 79/100
                    2. Dog2 has 78/100
                    10. Dog3 has 60/100

                    Dog1 gains = 20 points
                    Dog2 gains = 12 points
                    Dog3 gains = 1 punt

                    * None of the dogs has 80%, so they don't gain the 6 extra points.

            For contest Y there are 25 dogs in the beginners class.
                1. Dog3 has 93/100
                2. Dog2 has 81/100
                3. Dog 1 has 79/100

                    Dog1 gains = 10 + 0 = 10 points
                    Dog2 gains = 12 + 5 = 17 points
                    Dog3 gains = 20 + 5 = 25 points

            For contest Z there are 62 dogs in the beginners class.
                1. Dog3 has 96/100
                5. Dog1 has 88/100
                14. Dog2 has 80/100

                   Dog1 gains = 12 + 6 = 18 points
                   Dog2 gains = 0 + 12 = 12 points
                   Dog3 gains = 20 + 12 = 32 points

Before 2018

"result of a single contest" = "number of dogs per class" / "place"

Example:

For contest X we have the following results in the Beginners class. In total, 20 dogs participated in this class:
    1. Dog1 with 89/100
    2. Dog2 with 88/100
    3. Dog3 with 85/100

    Dog1 receives following points = 20/1 = 20 points
    Dog2 receives following points = 20/2 = 10 points
    Dog3 receives following points = 20/3 = 6,66 points

For contest Y we have the following result in the Beginners class. In total, 30 dogs participated in this class:
    1. Dog3 with 91/100
    2. Dog2 with 90/100
    3. Dog1 with 88/100

    Dog1 receives following points = 30/3 = 10 points
    Dog2 receives following points = 30/2 = 15 points
    Dog3 receives following points = 30/1 = 30 points

For contest X and Y we will have the following end result:
    Dog1 = 20 + 10 = 35 points
    Dog2 = 10 + 15 = 25 points
    Dog3 = 6,66 + 30 = 36,66 points

In this example Dog3 will be our champion for the Beginners class. Because the change of winning against 30 dogs is smaller than against 20 dogs, the points given for contest Y are higher than for context X.

We do not count following contest because of:

- Clubmatch Gouden Jachthoorn -> only open for members
- WT-Finale -> only open for invites
- CGT-Beerse -> this is not a dummy trial
